Julia Smith (Potter)
Julia Smith's website is like a wonderland of beautiful pottery. Based in the Scottish Highlands, Julia's work is inspired by the natural beauty of her environment and the simple pleasures of every day life. As an avid tea drinker, I'm a little obsessed with her mugs. I've pretty much been cyber stalking them for the past year! I love the simplicity of the images combined with the sturdiness of the mugs. I'm also a little bit infatuated with her bowls and the way she puts the images on the inside. It's like finding a little present at the end of the meal!
You can check out more of Julia's humble handmade work via her website, on Etsy, and on Instagram. Scroll down to see her inspirations. Thanks, Julia! ~Erin
Listen
I recently discovered and am enjoying Adam Buxton's podcast.
Read
The last book I read was Names for the Sea by Sarah Moss. Her book is about a year she spent working in Iceland and I was interested in reading it as I am working on a collaborative project in Iceland at the moment.
Watch
Whilst at my air b&b in Reykjavik I found this little treasure in our host’s dvd collection, Charlie Chaplin’s The Circus. It was a treat to watch.
