Anne Yen (Illustrator)

Ann Yen, Octopus

Natural science illustrator Anne Yen is a huge fan of snakes. Snakes and mushrooms and octopuses! She loves them and she wants you to love them, too! She also happens to be a really cool person and one of my oldest friends. No lie. We’ve been friends since middle school! I even have the photos to prove it! Luckily for you, I won’t be posting any pictures of my awkward twelve-year-old self, but I will share one of Anne’s gorgeous mushroom drawings. It’s bound to convert even the most ardent mushroom hater among you!

Watch

I always love Sarah Jones. I’ve seen her a few times live. Her work is very relevant to these times.

As far as movies go, I loved the film What We Do in the Shadows.
