This past December, I asked for exactly one art print for Christmas and it was by today’s contributor, Dutch illustrator Lieke van der Vorst. The work, titled Tuinkas (Greenhouse), contains two of my favorite things: plant and cats! There is something quite beautiful and soothing about the piece, as there is with all of Lieke’s work. She often depicts humans and animals as equals and greenery is always well-represented.

My mother, who ordered the print for me, had some trouble with international shipping over the holidays and when she contacted Lieke about the issue, she said that she was super helpful and quite lovely, just like her work!
