Some of you may be familiar with Libby VanderPloeg’s illustrations through her work with DesignSponge. She’s the woman responsible for the lovely images that accompany their Design Icon series, and she also creates the beautifully detailed maps for their city guides, among other things. But Libby doesn’t limit herself to traditional illustrations, she also creates super fun animated pieces and paper sculptures of her work!

There is something about Libby’s wonderfully colorful illustrations that instantly transports me to a world that’s sunny and serene. It’s twenty degrees in Michigan right now and there's a blizzard on the east coast.
