Art can mean many different things and serve may different purposes. To some people, art is all about aesthetics, what colors or images will look best on a wall, but, personally, I find myself drawn to work that tells a story. Whether its personal, political, or cultural, I appreciate a strong point of view and today's contributor, Spanish photographer Marta Soul, definitely has that! Marta use carefully staged characters and familiar imagery in order to examine issues of gender, sexuality, identity, culture, and appearance. Like a scene from your favorite novel come to life, each photograph tells a story that is both interesting and visually compelling.

Listen

"Love me or leave me" by Nina Simone.

Read

Nothing by Jane Teller. A friend lent me this book because she believed that it would be good for improving my English. I am currently absorbed by it.

Nothing, Janne Teller

Watch

Feud: Bette and Joan. I loved watching this TV series based on the rivalry between Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, how different and, at the same time, how similar they were. Both were women with a strong combative character, working after the peaks of their careers. I currently see myself in a similar situation, with this combative attitude and also professionally vulnerable.
