Karenina Fabrizzi (Artist)
I don’t know about you, but around here, people are pretty much done with the cold weather and the endless snowstorms. Spring is officially here, but the temps seem to be stuck in the thirties and forties! I'm so ready for winter to be over. I've been longing for colorful spring flowers and the sort of warmth and freshness that comes the beginning of spring. Thankfully, I recently stumbled onto this YouTube video of artist Karenina Fabrizzi and my flower fix was finally satisfied!
Karenina, who is an Italian artist based in Barcelona, Spain, creates dreamy paintings that combine portraiture and flowers. The images are filled with soft, subtle colors and, at first glance, I was struck by the incredible beauty of her work. But Karenina's paintings aren't only about surface beauty. There's another layer as well, something mysterious and dark underneath all that loveliness.
If you need a break from the winter blues, and you're craving a little natural beauty on your screen today, definitely check out more of Karenina's amazing paintings on her Instagram feed, right here, and on her website, here. Scroll down to read all about her inspirations. Thanks, Karenina! ~Erin
