Ellen Rutt (Multidisciplinary Artist)
Spring is finally here! Woo hoo! I love this time of year so, so, so, so much! The days are getting longer, the weather is getting warmer, and soon we'll all be spending a lot more time outdoors! It's the perfect time of year for checking out murals, graffiti, and installation pieces around your city. If you find yourself in Michigan this summer, you should definitely check out the work of today's contributor, Detroit-based artist Ellen Rutt! Known for her bold, whimsical style, Ellen is a multidisciplinary artist who brings art and design to public places. Once you've seen one her murals, you will never look at walls and buildings the same way again! Every piece is a total feast for the eyes!
I absolutely love the way Ellen's incorporates humor and joy in so much of her work. Her whimsy and her use of colorful geometric patterns, makes her work feel very current and modern! I can't wait to see what she does next!
You can check out Ellen's remarkable pieces in person by visiting sites throughout the United States and abroad (Michigan, New York, Ohio, Hawaii, Arizona, France, etc.). You can also see more of her work on her website and on Instagram. Scroll to read all about her inspirations. Thanks, Ellen! ~Erin

Four Tet x Floating Points mix. My all-time fave go-to is this six-hour mix on SoundCloud. It has everything. It starts off classical, gets jazzy, and then meanders through a range of cultural tunes, and ends with house music.

I'm currently reading The Truth About Truth, a collection of philosophical essays.
Before that I read A Sacred Shift and other zines by Marlee Grace.

This video continues to give me hope.
But also this documentary about an early internet social experiment is super interesting.
Atlanta is amazing.
And I watch people's Instagram stories, which is like mini reality shows.
